If you need a new assessment, for example because your symptoms have changed, book a new appointment.

Where do I pick up my prescription?

Your prescription is electronic. You can pick it up at any pharmacy in Norway with ID. Some prescriptions, for example for habit-forming medicines, must be picked up within a shorter time. Ask the pharmacy if you're unsure.

The medicine isn't working, or I'm having side effects. What should I do?

Contact us, and the doctor will assess whether you need a new appointment or a different treatment. If you have serious side effects, contact the emergency out-of-hours service (legevakt) on 116 117. In a life-threatening situation, call 113.

I forgot to ask for a sick note. Can I get one afterwards?

Contact us, and the doctor will assess whether one can be issued based on your consultation. As a rule, a sick note applies from the day the doctor assessed you and cannot be backdated.

Can my sick note be extended?

Yes, if the doctor considers it necessary. Book a new appointment before your sick note runs out so the doctor can assess you again.

Where can I find my referral?

The doctor sends the referral electronically to the right recipient, such as a hospital or specialist. The recipient will contact you once they have reviewed it. On Helsenorge you can read about what happens after you've been referred.

Will my GP be told about my appointment?

If you'd like, the doctor who treated you will send information about the appointment to your regular GP (fastlege). Let us know during the appointment or contact us afterwards.

Can I get a copy of my medical record?

Yes. Contact us and we'll help you.
