Consultation

1595,-

A vascular surgeon examines your blood flow using duplex ultrasound and provides a customized treatment plan.

Gentle heat treatment (EVRF)

Keyhole treatment performed under local anesthesia where the diseased vein is sealed from the inside using radiofrequency waves. No general anesthesia or sick leave required.

Local extirpation of varices

Removal of bulging varicose veins directly under the skin through millimeter-sized incisions.

  • Often performed in combination with heat treatment for optimal cosmetic and medical results.

How the treatment works

The most common treatment is called EVRF. The vascular surgeon closes the faulty vein from the inside using heat. Blood then flows back to the heart through other, healthy veins.

  • 1. Anaesthesia: You get a local anaesthetic and stay awake throughout.
  • 2. A small puncture: The surgeon guides a thin tube into the vein using ultrasound.
  • 3. Heat closes the vein: The vein is heated from the inside and closes.
  • 4. Home the same day: You put on a compression stocking and go home. Most people are back to normal activities the next day.

Visible varicose veins just under the skin can be removed through tiny punctures, often at the same time.
