How does a video doctor work at Dr. Dropin?

1. Download the Dr.Droppin app: Available in the App Store or Google Play.

2. Book an appointment: Register with BankID, book a doctor's appointment and pay.

3. The doctor calls by appointment: You will receive a reminder via SMS in advance. Please keep the app open and switch off focus mode on your mobile.

4. Consultation: Talk to the doctor via video chat and get help with your health problems.

Is the video doctor at Dr. Dropin safe?

Yes, we use a secure and encrypted video platform to protect your personal data. We follow strict guidelines for privacy and data security.

How much does a video doctor at Dr. Dropin cost?

The price for a video doctor is NOK 375 (May 2024). You can always check our updated prices on our website. We also offer video medical appointments at a reduced price and/or free of charge for members of selected insurances, you can read more about our insurance agreements here.

Do I need a referral to use a video doctor?

No, you do not need a referral to use a video doctor at Dr. Dropin. You can easily book an appointment yourself in our app.

Can I use a video doctor if I am not a patient of Dr. Dropin?

Yes, everyone can use a video doctor at Dr. Dropin, regardless of whether you are registered as a patient with us or not.

Can I use a video doctor abroad?

Yes, you can use Dr. Dropin's video doctor abroad as long as you have a Norwegian social security number and BankID. Please note that certain services, such as prescriptions, can only be issued to persons resident in Norway.

What do I do if I have technical problems during the video consultation?

If you experience technical problems, such as poor sound or image, you can try updating the app or restarting your device. If the problem persists, contact our customer service here via chat or phone, and we will help you.

Can I get a copy of my medical record after the video consultation?

Yes, you have the right to get a copy of your medical record after the video consultation. You can easily request this during the consultation or by contacting our customer service.

Can I use a video doctor if I have children who need medical attention?

Parents or guardians can book a video doctor's appointment for children under 16 years of age. For children over 16, the child must book the appointment himself. Please note that the video doctor is not always suitable for children, especially in the case of acute ailments or the need for a physical examination.

Do you offer a video doctor in the evenings and at weekends?

Yes, we offer video doctor's appointments in the evenings and on weekends. You can see available hours and book an appointment in the app.
