How do I book an appointment with a physiotherapist, chiropractor or osteopath?

You book an appointment here on our website or by downloading the Dr.Dropin app.

You can choose where, when and with which therapist you want an appointment.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment with a physiotherapist, chiropractor or osteopath.

Do you have therapists with HELFO refund?

Yes, we have this in our clinics at Bislett and Grunerløkka.

Do you offer shock wave therapy?

Yes, we have therapists who are very competent at shock wave therapy.

How much pain should I have before I get to you?

You do not have to meet diagnostic criteria to come to us. No ailments are too small, as long as there are ailments for you.

Can you do sick leave?

Yes, our chiropractors are authorized to give sick leave for up to 12 weeks, when after thorough assessments it is considered necessary to take sick leave.
In case of sick leave or referral, a deductible of NOK 120 applies.

Can you refer to imaging, such as. MRI and X-ray?

Yes, our chiropractors are authorized to refer to imaging.

Can I use my health insurance / treatment insurance with you?

Yes, you can. We have an agreement with all the major insurance companies. You can book an appointment in the usual way, the only thing you need to bring to the appointment is your CASE ID number.

Can I speak another language?

Yes, the therapists can conduct the conversation in both Norwegian and English.

When are you open?

We are open from 08:00 - 21:00 Monday - Friday, and Saturdays from 09:00 - 17:00.

What does a consultation cost?

An appointment costs 745 NOK*, whether it is with a physiotherapist, chiropractor or osteopath. This price applies to both the initial appointment and any follow-up sessions.

*First-time consultation has a price supplement of NOK 100 in the weekend and public holidays.


In case of sick leave or referral, a deductible of NOK 120 applies.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, but cancellation/change must be made no later than 24 hours before the consultation. Hours that are cancelled after the deadline will be invoiced in full.

How do I pay?

You pay with a tip or bank card at the end of the hour at the clinic. You will of course receive a valid receipt.

When booking an appointment via our mobile app, you can choose to pay in advance via the app.

Do you have naprapaths and osteopaths?

Yes, several osteopaths work with us.

How long does an appointment last?

The first booking initially lasts 40 minutes but can take both longer and shorter time. We always take time for thorough investigations to identify and understand the cause of your ailments.

Follow-up bookings basically last for 20-30 minutes, but can take both longer and shorter time. We are keen to adapt to you and your needs.

What does a physiotherapist?

A physiotherapist examines, treats and prevents diseases and injuries in bones, joints, muscles and tendons. The physiotherapist maps your need for treatment, training and rehabilitation. The goal is for you to develop, recycle or maintain equal functioning. The physiotherapist often performs tests of mobility, strength and balance. In addition, the physiotherapist sees it as his task to motivate and guide you to better health.

What does a chiropractor?

A chiropractor examines, treats and prevents disorders of the musculoskeletal system. These ailments can be located anywhere in the body, but the chiropractor usually treats the neck, back and pelvis. The pain may have arisen acutely or gradually as an overload injury. The ailments can be in joints, but also in muscles.

What does a osteopath?

An osteopath has broad knowledge of the body and the connections between physical, psychological and social factors that affect your health. An osteopath gives you good manual treatment, in addition to guiding, motivating and helping you to be active and take responsibility for your own health. Manual treatment can vary from manipulation techniques (bending), muscle stretching or lighter techniques for muscles and joints.

How do I know if I should go to a physiotherapist, chiropractor or osteopath?

It is not possible to go wrong. If you come to a chiropractor with us, and we see that a physiotherapist is the best for you, then you will receive a recommendation about this. And vice versa.

What kind of treatment do I get?

Our focus is always on the treatment giving you a long-lasting effect. When you choose treatment with us, you do not pay for short-term relief, you invest in your own health. Your therapist will map and have a dialogue with you about what is the right treatment for your ailments. In some cases, this treatment is there on the bench, combined with active measures such as exercise. In other cases, treatment on the bench is not part of the course of treatment.

Hvordan oppfølging får jeg hos dere?

We tailor follow-up to your needs and wishes. We offer close follow-up from start to finish if you need this. At the same time, we make sure that it is easy for you to get in touch with your therapist.

Can I change therapist?

Yes, you can. You can easily book a new appointment with another therapist. Feel free to write in the comments field who you have been treated by before so that we can ensure a good transition for you.

Do you offer consultation via video?

Yes, we do, with physiotherapists.

Do you get just as good help over video?

On video, we can assist you with much of what you can get help with a physical consultation with a physiotherapist. We are very keen to help you where you are and our therapists have extensive experience with consultation via video.

The conversation takes place in a fully encrypted conversation room and follows the same standards and methods as otherwise

Can I get a prescription?

Physiotherapists and chiropractors cannot prescribe medication. To inquire about a prescription, you must book an appointment with your GP or doctor at Dr.Dropin.

Can I get help with acute ailments?

We have a short waiting time.

The examination will define what kind of treatment is right for you. Remember that acute back pain is often painful, but usually harmless.
