Gynecological Services in Tromsø
Although we do not currently have a gynecologist specialist at our Tromsø clinic, our skilled general practitioners can assist you with a wide range of gynecological concerns.
Our GPs in Tromsø provide the following services:
- Cervical Screening (Pap Smear): Routine screening and testing for cervical cancer prevention.
- Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs): Testing, diagnosis, and treatment for conditions such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, and genital warts.
- Contraception: Professional guidance and prescriptions for birth control pills, patches, vaginal rings, and other hormonal contraceptives.
- Contraceptive Implants: Most of our GPs perform the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants (e.g., Nexplanon).
- IUD Removal: All our GPs can remove an IUD; however, please note that we do not currently offer IUD insertion at this location.
- Infections and Common Ailments: Investigation and treatment of yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
