Information to have ready:

Your current weight and height. This is important to calculate your BMI, which is a key factor in the assessment.
Your complete medical history. Include information about all past and current health problems, as well as any medications you are taking.
Any questions you have. Feel free to write down any questions you have about medical weight loss, medications, or Dr.Dropin's services.

Criteria for weight medicine

Age over 18, BMI over 30, or BMI over 27 with weight-related health problems such as type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, or cardiovascular disease.

It is also important that you understand that there are exclusion criteria, such as pregnancy, pancreatitis, and diabetes treatment with insulin.

What are Wegovy and Mounjaro?
Wegovy and Mounjaro are prescription medications that can help you lose weight in combination with a healthy diet and regular physical activity. They contain a substance that is similar to a natural hormone in your body, GLP-1.

How do the medications work?

  Measuring blood pressure: This can easily be done at most pharmacies.
  Measuring waist circumference (and possibly weight and height): Accurate measurements are important for assessing your health risk.
  Blood tests: These provide important information about your general health and can reveal:
  Blood count, salt balance, liver enzymes, metabolism, kidney function, cholesterol and blood lipids, blood sugar.
Blood Test Appointment:
- We will order blood tests from Fürst, if you live near one of their stations. If not, this will be arranged with the doctor.
